Final pieces for Seven Deadly Sins project

A Photography based project based on the Seven Deadly Sins. For this project I had chosen to do the sin Sloth. I thought that sloth would be pretty easy to portray and I think I have presented it well in my photo montages.

The aim was to create a series of photo montages in the style of the sin.

For my first montage I decided to display a series of of seven photos of my model in sloth like poses and displayed them on a clock. My idea was that when you're a sloth times runs out or you waste time being lazy which the clock hands represent with them being jotted around on different times.
For my second montage I wanted my photo to have a dimension to it instead of it being flat. To create the 3D looking montage I edited three of my photos on Photoshop and deleted certain parts so when it was printed on to acetate they would be clear and show the other layers. My idea for this I wanted my model to be in a unexpected place that wouldn't you find a sloth usually. I also had my model dressed in lazy day clothes to show the lazy factor. The other concept I wanted to show was for my model to look lost and walking around. I wanted this effect as my other idea was for my model to be in a dream or not in the real world as when you're a sloth you're kind of in your own world instead of the real world.

For my third final piece I used the same photos as my first piece but used them in a different arrangement. I portrayed this piece in an eye as I got the idea from my research with evil eyes and I thought that because sloth is one of the seven deadly sins it would make the eye evil. I wanted to add illustration into this piece so I drew onto the eye to add detail which I think made the montage stand out even more.

For my finial last montage I wanted to play around with different poses and positions my model was in and combined them all in one to make a big montage. I had my model in tired and lazy poses to give off the sloth vibe in my photo. I wanted to have a kind of pop art effect so I changed the colouring to be bold and i illustrated around everything to make it stand out even more. I felt like the montage was missing something with the walls being bare so I added a kind of scribbled style writing on to them with words that describe sloth.
