Final piece drafts FMP

Here are my four locations / environments for my final piece storyboards. The two that have a lot of detail on them are the two that I will be using traditional media with. The two that don't have as much detail on them will be the two that I will be drawing and colouring digitally.  This weekend I will be focusing on getting ymy two digital pieces finished so I better get cracking on them now.

Development FMP

 Beach
 Forest
 Cave/ Mountains
 Flower
Weakness
 Enemies
 Vortex
Waterfall location

These are the chosen ideas from my development, I asked 25 people again which idea they liked best out of the two options they were given. I've experimented with a numerous of different materials and styles through my development to see what works and what doesn't which has helped me decided which media I want to use with my traditional drawings.  These ideas above will be presented in my storyboard which is my next step to produce for my final piece.

Generation of ideas FMP

Here are my generation of ideas for my game from my book. I wanted to add different aspects to the game so I added in characters and objects such as weaknesses, energy boosts, enemies, flowers, trees, vortex and locations. I then went round and asked 25 people there opinion on which one they liked best and the two ideas for each area that got the most votes will be developed. I've gone through 20 pages in my book dedicated to my ideas and annotated certain ones to describe what there power could be and what material I have used to draw it.

Research Pages FMP

Just a few scans from my book since I have my scanner working again. I couldn't get rid of the shaded areas due to my pages being a bit wrinkled but I wanted to put them on this blog to show a bit of my book work. The pages I've put up are research both primary and secondary. I've tended to use a theme of using colourful ink backgrounds as I don't like white backgrounds as I think there boring and I wanted to make my book standout when looking through it.

FMP - Samples

I've being doing some more samples for my book as I plan to do at least 10 digital drawings and 10 traditional drawings for Tuesday so I can move on to my generation of idea. I've been experimenting with colour in these pieces. I went for a scribble / messy looking line and used block colours which I think makes it stand out. There isn't a great amount of detail such as highlighting the grass and rocks as I wanted it to look basic.  I shall update more on the other drawings I do.

FMP- Primary research

I'm on my last week of doing primary research as I need to start my generation of ideas and developing my work. Since I left my book at home last weekend I'm going to spend this weekend doing my digital / traditional drawings for my samples in my book. At the moment I've done two digital drawings of the aquarium fish tanks and two traditional drawings. Since my scanner won't work because my printer won't let me do anything until I change its ink I only have the two samples for now.

FMP - Research

Well this week I have been rather busy with college and with not being at home the majority of this week I haven't been able to access my blog but since I have a few hours spare before I go out I thought I would update what I have been doing this week. I seem to have left my book at college so scans of my book won't be put on until next week. On Tuesday evening I went out with my friend Becca and took photos of landscapes and environments for primary research. We went round areas in Rosley and Crofton and visited a forest, old barn and a ice house.
